You can add Facebook Messenger to your Bookmark website to display a live chat feature on your website.

To turn on your Facebook Messenger integration go into your website builder and click the 'Features' section in your sidebar, and then the Live Chat section.

On the Live Chat page toggle the Messenger section to 'on' and then click the 'Connect' button. Then a pop-up will open prompting you to login to your Facebook account.

If you do not already have a Facebook account set up you can create an account in the pop-up and get started.

Next, if you do not already have a page set up for your business you will need to do that. If you already have a page set up you will be prompted to select the page you want to connect your chat to.

Within your page settings you will need to 'Add Messenger to your website' by going into the Page Settings to the Messaging section as seen in the image below.

Click 'Get Started' and go through the setup process. You will need to enter your domain name in the field below.

You will not need to worry about copying the code since the process is done automatically for you with our Messenger feature. So click 'Save & Continue' to close out the Set Up process.

Now if you would like to customize your chat bot you can open the 'Customize Your Chat Plugin' dropdown and edit the greeting, colour, alignment, etc.

Note: The default alignment will cover the arrow that brings users back to the top of the page on your Bookmark site, so you may want to adjust the alignment to avoid covering that if you want users to be able to use the 'back to top' feature.

Once you are satisfied with your personalization click the 'Publish' button in the bottom right hand corner to complete the process.

Now you are all set to save and publish the changes to your live website and the Facebook Messenger live chat will be accessible.

*Note: You can only install either Facebook Messenger OR LiveChat but will not be able to run two chats at once.

To remove the Facebook Messenger chat feature from your site just go back into the Features > Live Chat section of your website builder and toggle the Messenger feature to 'off' and save and publish the changes. Your page details will save in the case that you ever want to turn the feature 'on' again.
